Switching up to the medium graphic preset will get you 1080p at 60fps, as long as you’ve got an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 for your GPU. Compared to the PS5 version, this PC port of Spider-Man 2 takes advantage of image enhancement and upscaling technologies, as well as improved ray-tracing to provide the best visuals possible. It also boasts seamless integration with PlayStation Network (PSN) to sync achievements and trophies between platforms. I had a lot of fun using this before landing a sharp burst of Miles’ Venom lightning onto grouped-up goons, and now Peter can get in on that fun as well. This configuration lets you enjoy ray-traced reflections and shadows at 1440p while maintaining smooth gameplay. 777X provides a solid 1080p gaming experience at 60 FPS with medium graphics settings, balancing visual quality and performance. While Spider-Man 2’s PC release is a good sign, there are no Spider-Man 2 DLC plans in the works. If you want to scratch that Marvel itch in a game that is definitely getting updates once you’ve finished Spider-Man 2 on PC, then Marvel Rivals might be your next stop.

On PS5 in 2023, Spider-Man 2 at least served as an impressive technical showcase for the hardware, and a blockbuster release in a relatively quiet release schedule.

The new parry mechanic is essential to dealing with some of the undodgeable strikes particular enemies use. You can still swing away to escape, but a well-timed parry not only stops the incoming attack but leaves an enemy vulnerable to further damage. And then there’s the new Web Line mechanic which lets you craft your own high wire paths across specific points in the environment, giving you even more control and flexibility over stealth takedowns. The book leads directly into the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man, first introducing Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, as he returns to New York, only this time he’s built himself a pretty sturdy reputation as an altruistic entrepreneur and philanthropist. Now you can build up height and speed with web-swinging before quickly switching to Web Wings to glide in areas like Queens, where there are few tall buildings. With the new interactive elements like super slingshots and wind tunnels that act as jet streams, Spider-Man has never been faster in the air.

Peter chooses to save everyone else, which leads to a tearful goodbye from his loved one. Otto Octavius later turns into Doc Ock and frees Mr. Negative, Electro, Vulture, Rhino and Scorpion to form the Sinister Six. Doc Ock takes the Devil’s breath and releases it in Times Square, also infecting Aunt May. While Mary Jane informs Peter of the location of the cure, Spider-Man is forced to build a new armored suit in order to defeat Doc Ock, who has beaten Spider-Man and taken Osborn and the cure. Marvel’s Spider-Man shows a more experienced Peter Parker than we usually see, as he’s been Spider-Man for around 8 years already at this point.
